‘Imminent’ threat of Iranian strike on US base in Qatar

Sources familiar with U.S. intelligence assessments told Fox News that Iranian missiles or drone attacks targeting U.S. military installations in Qatar were considered “imminent.” Although no official threat level has been made public, increased military readiness has been observed at Al Udeid, with defense systems on high alert.

In a press statement Monday, the Qatari foreign ministry emphasized that the nation remains “committed to regional stability and dialogue,” but “cannot ignore the volatile reality unfolding in the region.” The ministry added that authorities were “closely coordinating with international allies and air defense partners” to monitor and respond to any escalation.

The U.S. airstrikes were hailed by President Trump as a “historic moment for the United States of America, Israel, and the world.” In a televised address following the operation, he called on Iran to “choose peace over nuclear escalation” and proposed talks to “end the war before it consumes the region.”

While some allies have expressed support, others have called for restraint. International watchdogs have warned that further escalation could destabilize the broader Gulf region, jeopardizing both civilian lives and energy infrastructure.

The situation remains fluid, with live updates continuing across major news outlets as military assets are repositioned and diplomatic channels are engaged.

For now, Qatar’s skies remain closed, its runways quiet, and its borders braced for what could be the most dangerous military standoff in the Middle East in over a decade.
