President Donald Trump took to his Truth Social platform to announce a breakthrough ceasefire agreement between Israel and Iran following nearly two weeks of intense missile strikes and military exchanges.
“CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYONE! It has been fully agreed by and between Israel and Iran that there will be a Complete and Total CEASEFIRE (in approximately 6 hours from now, when Israel and Iran have wound down and completed their in-progress, final missions!) for 12 hours, at which point the War will be considered, ENDED!” Trump wrote in a jubilant post.
According to Trump, the ceasefire will be implemented in coordinated phases:
Iran will initiate the ceasefire first,
Israel will follow at the 12-hour mark,
and the official end of the 12 Day War will be recognized globally after 24 hours.
Praising both nations, Trump applauded the “Stamina, Courage, and Intelligence” shown by their leadership in reaching this resolution.
“This is a war that could have lasted years and destroyed the entire Middle East — but it didn’t, and it never will!” Trump declared. “God bless Israel, God bless Iran, God bless the Middle East, God bless the United States of America, and GOD BLESS THE WORLD!” he concluded.
