Two years after Jeff Bezos proposed with a jaw-dropping 30-carat diamond ring while vacationing in Europe, he and fiancée Lauren Sánchez are officially preparing for what many are calling the wedding of the century. The multi-day celebration is set to begin on June 24 in Venice, Italy, with an exclusive guest list, lavish planning, and a backdrop as romantic and iconic as their high-profile love story.
A Fairytale Beginning in Venice
After months of swirling rumors, speculation, and silence, it’s now confirmed: Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez are tying the knot in Venice. Dispelling reports of a $600 million Aspen winter wedding, Venice Mayor Luigi Brugnaro issued a statement confirming the couple’s Italian nuptials and reassuring locals that the event would be discreet and respectful.
“The many speculations and fake news circulating about Jeff Bezos’ wedding are completely unfounded,” Brugnaro wrote, noting that only 200 guests will attend and the celebration is being carefully coordinated to avoid disrupting the historic city.
A Celebration Fueled by Local Flavor
According to the Associated Press, the Bezos-Sánchez wedding is committed to supporting the Venetian economy, with 80% of the wedding provisions sourced locally. That includes:

The Venue(s): Yacht, Island, or Both?
While Bezos and Sánchez haven’t publicly confirmed their wedding venue, several possibilities have emerged:
Koru, Bezos’ $500 million superyacht, remains a top contender, especially given its size and past use for glamorous events.
San Giorgio Maggiore, a scenic island with a centuries-old church and breathtaking views, has also been floated as a potential location.
