A former contestant on the reality show Beauty and the Geek has been charged with the murder of her partner following a disturbing incident in Port Lincoln, South Australia.
The 34-year-old woman—whose identity is currently suppressed by a court order—was arrested on Thursday, June 19, after police discovered the lifeless body of a man inside a residence on Flinders Highway. The man, who is believed to have shared the home with the accused, was found following a report of a small fire at the property.
Authorities responded to the call at approximately 3:25 p.m., according to a statement released by South Australia Police. Upon arrival, emergency services extinguished the fire, only to uncover a grim crime scene inside the house. Police confirmed the man was deceased at the scene.
“Detectives from Major Crime Investigation Branch and Forensic Response Section officers flew to the scene last night and are assisting local police with the investigation,” the police statement noted.
