Cats are often admired for their independence, spending much of their time outdoors exploring while only returning to the home for food and bathroom breaks. This self-sufficiency makes caring for them relatively simple. However, without regular grooming, their fur can quickly become a problem. Sadly, Hidey, a cat whose owner suffered from Alzheimer’s, experienced this neglect firsthand. Over the years, her owner, unable to care for her properly, let her fur become so matted that she was unrecognizable, resembling an octopus. When rescuers finally found her, they were shocked by her condition.
